วันที่ 20 มกราคม 2569 แพทย์หญิงมนทกานติ์ โอประเสริฐสวัสดิ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายโครงการจัดตั้งวิทยาเขตนครสวรรค์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Bob Doherty จาก The School for Business and Society, University of York สหราชอาณาจักร นักวิจัยผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านระบบอาหารและความยั่งยืน ภายใต้โครงการวิจัยเรื่อง “Integrating Regenerative Food Systems and Local Wisdom for Sustainable Food Innovation Model: Bung Boraphet, Nakhonsawan Province” ซึ่งเป็นความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่าง Professor Bob Doherty และ อ.ดร.พรพิรัตน์ คันธธาศิริ โดยมุ่งเน้นการบูรณาการแนวคิดระบบอาหารเชิงฟื้นฟู (Regenerative Food Systems) ร่วมกับภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบนวัตกรรมอาหารอย่างยั่งยืนที่เหมาะสมกับบริบทพื้นที่บึงบอระเพ็ด จังหวัดนครสวรรค์
ในการนี้ มีคณะผู้บริหารวิทยาเขตนครสวรรค์เข้าร่วมให้การต้อนรับและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น ได้แก่ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วีระเดช มีอินเกิด ผู้ช่วยรองอธิการบดีฝ่ายโครงการจัดตั้งวิทยาเขตนครสวรรค์ ด้านวิจัยและวิเทศสัมพันธ์, อ.ดร.ณัฐฐิญา อัครวิวัฒน์ดำรง ผู้ช่วยรองอธิการบดีฝ่ายโครงการจัดตั้งวิทยาเขตนครสวรรค์ ด้านการศึกษา และ อ.ดร.ปิยะเทพ อาวะกุล โดยได้ร่วมกันหารือในประเด็นการขับเคลื่อนงานวิจัยร่วม การพัฒนาหลักสูตรและกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เชิงพื้นที่ การเสริมสร้างศักยภาพนักวิจัยและนักศึกษา ตลอดจนการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในระดับนานาชาติ
การพบปะหารือในครั้งนี้นับเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสถาบัน อันจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนางานวิจัยและการจัดการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ สอดคล้องกับบริบทการเปลี่ยนแปลงในระดับสากล ทั้งยังสะท้อนบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตนครสวรรค์ ในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการวิจัยเชิงพื้นที่ (Area-based Research) ที่เชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ระดับนานาชาติกับชุมชนท้องถิ่นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม อันจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนานวัตกรรมอาหาร ระบบเศรษฐกิจชุมชน และความยั่งยืนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในระยะยาว

Mahidol University Nakhonsawan Campus Welcomes Professor Bob Doherty from the University of York to Discuss Research and Educational Collaboration
On 20 January 2026, Dr. Mondhakarn Oprasertsawat, Vice President for the Nakhonsawan Campus Project, Mahidol University, welcomed Professor Bob Doherty from The School for Business and Society, the University of York, United Kingdom, a leading researcher in sustainable and regenerative food systems, to discuss opportunities for research and educational collaboration.
The visit was conducted under the collaborative research project entitled “Integrating Regenerative Food Systems and Local Wisdom for Sustainable Food Innovation Model: Bueng Boraphet, Nakhonsawan Province.” The project represents an academic collaboration between Professor Bob Doherty and Dr. Pornpirat Kanthathasiri, focusing on the integration of regenerative food systems with local wisdom to develop a sustainable food innovation model that is well suited to the ecological and socio-cultural context of Bueng Boraphet, Nakhonsawan Province.
The meeting was attended by the campus executive team, including Associate Professor Dr. Weeradej Meeinkirt, Assistant to the Vice President for Research and International Relations; Dr. Nattiya Arkarawiwatdamrong, Assistant to the Vice President for Education; and Dr. Piyathap Avakul. Discussions centered on advancing joint research initiatives, developing area-based curricula and experiential learning activities, strengthening research and student capacity building, and expanding international academic networks.
This meeting marked an important opportunity to strengthen academic collaboration between institutions and is expected to contribute to the advancement of high-quality research and education aligned with global transformations. It also reflects Mahidol University Nakhonsawan Campus’s role as a hub for area-based research, effectively linking international academic knowledge with local communities, and fostering sustainable food innovation, community-based economic development, and long-term environmental sustainability.
