  • 20-24 October 2025: With School of Physics of University of Phayao, NAS co-host the 2025 ICTP Physics Without Frontiers Workshop on Computational Cosmology and High Energy Physics. [Link to Workshop info on ICTP event page]

  • 14 October 2025: Prof. Naresh Dadhich (IUCAA) delivers his honourary lecture at NAS
  • 5 September 2025: Kicking off:  Fields of Thoughts seminar  
  • 8 September 2025: Prof. Roy Maarten (University of the Western Cape, South Africa and University of Portsmouth, UK) delivers his honourary lecture at NAS
  • 1 September 2025: Prof. Shinji Tsujikawa (Waseda University) and Prof. Antonio De Felice (Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University) appointed as “Adjunct Professor” at NAS. The position terms are five years.
      
  • 1 August 2025: Dr. Arpita Mitra joins NAS as a lecturer. She will join academic and research activities in high-energy physics and mathematical physics.

  • 24 June 2025: Dr. Vishal Chaudary received Materials Today Agents of Change Award (2023)

  • 13 June 2025: Dr. Nandan Roy is awarded “Best Oral Presentation Prize”

  • 4 November 2024: SciNUxNAS Theoretical Physics Box kicking off [news in SciNU website]. The Box is open by the president of Naresuan University.
  • 17 October 2024: Phusuda Thanankullaphong and Phichayoot Baisri (a DPST Scholar), NAS’ Ph.D. students, have been selected to participate the 3rd IAGRG School on Gravitation and Cosmology, scheduled to take place from October 14th to 25th, 2024. This event is organized by the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bengaluru, India.
    On October 17, 2024, Mr. Baisri gives a poster presentation, accompanied by a flash talk both on “Cosmology in Holographic Non-Minimal Derivative Coupling Theory: Constraints from Inflation and Variation of Gravitational Constant.” [FB pictures]
  • 17 October 2024: NAS runs a first high school physics short course for 7 students from Newton Society of Khaothong Pittayakhom School, Jomkirinakprot Municipality School and Nakhon Sawan school. Lunch and food break are sponsored by Newton Society of Khaothong Pittayakhom School.  The lectures run from 10.30-12.00 and 13.00-17.00 covering all topics in high school classical mechanics (Mattayom 4).  Teaching team members are Prof. Burin Gumjudpai and research students: Amornthep Tita and Pakkapon Phaitha.

  • 1 October 2024: Burin Gumjudpai is appointed “Adjunct Professor” of the Faculty of Science of Naresuan University.

  • 10-14 June 2024: NAS hold “CosmoGravitas” – International Conference on Cosmology and Gravitation at NAS centre and the 42C Chick Hotel.The conference brought international experts in cosmology and gravity to exchange ideas. Recent progress and challenges in gravitational physics are included such as in the Early Universe, Dark Energy and Modified Gravity, Dark Matter, Gravitational Waves and Quantum Cosmology.SOC members are

  • 27 February 2024 (16.45): The gathering for Cosmogravitas online registration kick-off by Prof. Burin Gumjudpai. The kick-off was at 16.45, 27 February 2024 with the introduction remarks by Drs Nandan Roy and Manabendra Sharma [FB Post]
  • 1 February 2024 (14.19 pm): arrival of “Panya” (ปัญญา (𑀧𑀜𑁆𑀜𑀸; ปญฺญ) ในภาษาบาลี หรือ ปราชญ์ (प्रज्ञा; ปฺรชฺญฺา) ในภาษาสันสกฤต) which is ต้นกันเกรา – Fagraea fragrans) tree and the two ต้นพะยุง (Dalbergia cochinchinensis) trees “Kalyanamitra”  and “Sahai” are planted.  “Sahai” is the one further of the White Stand and “Mitr” is the one nearer to the White Stand.   • 31 January 2024: Mahidol University appoints Prof. Burin Gumjudpai as NAS director. The appointment is retroactive from the 24 January 2024.  Prof. Gumjudpai is to hold an unofficial  title “NAS Founding Director“.

  • 11 January 2024 (17.11): “Arrival of Mitri”
    A seven-meter higt้h ต้นกระพี้จั่น (Millettia brandisiana Kurz) twisted with ต้นกุ่มบก (sacred garlic pear or temple plant)     is planted today at 17.11 near the “White Stand”. NAS members name the plants “Mitri” to mark friendship among NAS people. Donors in nick names: Burin, Nandan, Kumar, Manabendra, Thiti, Masroor, Donut (Phayao), Pradeep, Divya, Pangjee, Mai, Poach, Candra, Ohm Lek, Bowl, Amp (complete set of NAS people)   ไมตรี: ต้นกระพี้จั่นโตเกลียวเคียงกับต้นกุ่มบกสูงราว 7 เมตร ซื้อโดยเงินบริจาคจากบุคลากร สมาขิกและนักศึกษาทุกคนใน NAS) ปลูกที่ NAS วันนี้ในเวลา 17.11 [ร้านต้นไม้กัสมาพร โกรกพระ]
